I've put a couple lowers together before but this will be my first complete rifle build.
What I have so far Anderson receivers Anderson buffer kit Anderson lpk, planning on a trigger job Odin Works 18" stainless 3 gun barrel What I'm planning on getting Anderson or AIM NiB bcg JP Benny coolie or Fortis RED flash hider in stainless JP yellow trigger springs FAB defense gl-shock cp stock I'm stuck on what rail to get, I'm definitely getting a 15" just not 100% sure what one. I've been considering a few different key mods. Seekins precision, rainier arms, Diamondhead and Odin works. Does anyone have any opinions on any of the things I have yet to order? Or anything that should make me decide one product over another? Thanks for any input on this. I'll try an get some pics up as I get more parts |

I have an ODIN works rail(non key mod) and I like it. I wasn't really thrilled with the barrel nut they used because there wasn't a way to attach a torque wrench to it, but I just snugged it down to what I thought was well within the spec and haven't had any issues with it.
I know a lot of people use the JP yellow springs, but I'm a little leery of those because you do run the risk of having light primer strikes if you get some ammo with hard primers. Personally, I would rather save up the extra money and buy better trigger. I'm also not a fan of the BCG's with special coatings. If your only reason to want one if for ease of cleaning, I think your wasting your money. I've never had any trouble with the standard phosphate finish being harder to clean, just soak the thing in CLP for awhile and it cleans right up. |
