I'm going to Cerakoting a few new builds in the next few weeks. I'm using the air dry Cerakote. I have seen several post about lightly bead blasting the surface for prep, which I plan on doing. In y'all's experience, does it really make the coating stick better or is it really not needed? Do you have another way to prep the surface?
Thanks in advance....

Try the armory section. There is a dedicated refinishing section.

Yes... Don't skip that step and be sure to degrease very, very well...

You should consider using the oven dried Cerakote as it will hold up better than the air cured.

I would prefer to use the oven cure but the wife puts up with a lot of my stuff. Baking gun parts in her $7000 oven is probably a little too much.

I have already got the air cure from a friend that closed his shop. Maybe next time  when I have to pay for it, I will get the oven cure.
