I have a mount that I had to customize a tad to fit on my rifle (ar15) it was originally Black Oxide treated. The company I sent it to was going to Phosphate it but realized it is made of stainless so it cannot be, but there giving me the option of having it Teflon coated flat black. I have no experience with teflon coatings. My only concern is that it fit perfectly the way I wanted it to before sending it and this is an actual layer/coating, where's black oxide is more of a stain and doesnt add anything to the dimentions. Maybe it wont fit the same if its coated in teflon? Plus my rifle consists of either phosphated or anodized parts like most, and I do want it to somewhat match.
What would you do!?? And dont say "chill out" hah Black Anodize (military specs) Black Teflon Coat (flat black) |
