Hello all,

Stopped by to hear anyone's insight into the last few pieces of my light-weight SPR build.

First, I am interested in hearing which buffer might be the best for a mid-length GS, 18" bbl that will likely never be suppressed.  The safe choice would appear to be an H-1, but I'm open to suggestions.

I'm looking at an A-DAC-F lower or a regular lower with the Phase 5 EBRV2.  Either is fine with me, with a little bit of difference in price leaning slightly toward the A-DAC-F, but that is not the deciding factor.

I a looking at Fulton Armory for both upper and lower parts kits (only need about half of each since I have some left over pieces lying around) and am interested to know if anyone can give me a rundown on their quality.  They always seem to be pretty squared away, but one never knows until one has been there...done that.

Lastly, a trigger.  This is a build geared toward a moderate (not cheap, but not overly expensive) build with accuracy being the biggest goal.  That said, I want it to be able to do most things very well.  I am leaning towards two-stage triggers due to the accuracy equation, but I am not dead-set against a single-stage by any means.  I've heard very nice things about the CMC triggers (trying to keep the price sub-$200) and I like that they are modular, (though that is also something I do not need) however the Geissele G2S, (hovering at around the CMC's price) while not a drop-in, appears to be one of the best values on the market now.

Would love to hear back from anyone with insight or experience on any of these issues.  Apologies if this "double taps" other threads...I did look around for them before posting and found a lot of good reviews here on the G2S just wondering if that is truly the standard for value at this point.

Much thanks, and Merry Christmas to the ar15.com community!

Seems to be the season for SPR-type builds.  I'm in the process of putting one together as well.

An H-1 buffer is probably a safe place to start.

I plan on using the A-DAC-F lower for my build.  I don't like the looks of the battery assist devices, and I don't like the concept of something besides the trigger and my finger in the trigger guard.

I can't give you any real feedback on those triggers.  I know Geissele is the first choice around here, but I'm not entirely sold on 2-stage triggers, mainly from lack of exerience with them.  I plan on using a Timney trigger in mine.

Out of curosity, what barrel are you using?

I'm using an AR-Stoner fluted barrel.  Heard good things about them and they were about $100 cheaper than the next one I found (a year ago) so I jumped on it.
