I'm looking to replace my current trigger set up (standard lpk with a JP spring kit). I want to go Geissele 2 stage. I'm trying to decide whether to go the the cheaper G2S or the slightly more expensive SSA. Is the extra $50ish worth it? If you've used both what were the noticeable differences?

have played with ssa's, have a couple g2s.

i spent the money on reloading components instead.  makes range day more fun when you have more ammo.

Not any noticeable  difference for the money IMHO from now on it's either g2s or SSA-E.

This! I have both and would not turn around for the difference. Now, the SSA-E is definitely a step lighter.

In a blind test, you can't tell the difference.  I own both.

G2S is slightly heavier than my SSA-E. Other than that, buttery smooth take up with a clean break. Oh, and it's half the price.

You can find the G2S in the $110-$130 range.  The SSA is up to ~$210 now i think.

I have 2 of each, and there's really no appreciable difference between the two in regards to the feel of the pull.

The SSA is easier to install and comes with the guide pin to make installation even easier.  The G2S does not.

I can't speak of long term durability as i only put (at max) a couple thousand rounds downrange a year between all of my rifles, but they all work well.

Given the steep difference in cost, i find it hard to justify the extra cost of the SSA.  After a friend Guinea pigged a G2S i was sold and don't see myself getting another SSA.  They're great triggers but the difference in cost is too steep to justify.  If the SSA was still at the $180 price point it used to occupy, it would be a different story...i think i'd pay the extra$ for the extra QC the SSA gets, but at $210 vs. $110-$140, i'll take the G2S.

What do you do with the gun? I love  my SSA-E, but its on a more precision minded build. What trigger you choose will be dictated by its intended use.

Thanks for the input. Picked up a G2S for $137 at WC armory.
