I'm going to pick up a 14.5" Midlength, Enhanced LW barrel from BCM. The BCM website says the barrel comes dimpled for a gas block.
Would you recommend using the dimples and installing a set screw gas block? Or ignoring them and installing a clamp on? |

Thanks guys. Based on some searching here on arfcom, looks like the popular opinion is pinned>clamped>set screw.
So, even though the barrel is already dimpled, it may still be better to clamp than set screw? Or, of course, I could go with the first post's advice and just pick the gas block and go with it regardless of whether its clamp or set screw. |

If it does you now have a bolt action AR. If you cant go pinned get a clamp on. Set screw gas blocks scare me. |
