Okay, so I am putting together one of the smorgasbord LPK's and am down to the grip. I would like a farily vertical grip angle. Which do you prefer and why?
http://www.redbarnarmory.com/AR15-Grips-s/1818.htm I am leaning toward the MOE K2 but open to others. |

This one on anything that is an SBR or a QCB type carbine. Its the most vertical I have found yet.

The Color match is perfect to magpul. Thats a big deal to me. $15 when on sale. Smooth finish. Win.

Thanks for that picture, i was also curious how good they matched.. Now to decide between this and the K2 for my pistol build.. As far as this umbrella grip and the moe's and other magpul grips how does it compare in thickness . like a pic from the back next to eachother? |
| I just got a B5 Grip 23 (exactly the same as the Umbrella Corp) and I'm in love with it. It has a really nice round shape that fills the hand. I found the A2 grip and even the BCM mod 1 didn't give me nearly enough reach to the trigger. The Grip 23 puts the pad of my finger perfectly on the trigger, similar to the reach I get with my Glock 22 but possibly even a hair longer. Just to be clear though, the grip angle and shape are nothing like a Glock, I'm just trying to describe the reach. Its also cheap, which is nice. AIM has them for $19 and free shipping. |
| Deja Vu. I too bought several different grips before I settled on one that suits me best. It helps if you can go to a storefront and wrap your hands around multiple models, e.g., Rainier Arms in Auburn WA. The main things to consider are: large hands or small, hard plastic or rubber, fairly vertical angle or more like the old A2. In my case, I finally settled on the Ergo Tactical Deluxe - its big and fat, more vertical angle and rubbery like a Pachmayr grip. In any event, be prepared for some trial and error. At least grips typically cost less than $50, which is more than you can say for many of the triggers you haven't actually tried. - CW |
