I picked up a couple of these just to see how they are, and they seem pretty cool. Install is stupid simple as well as removal, can wait to see how it holds up.

The UDC is a great idea and I'm not just saying that because I named it.

Yes. I actually like many of their products. It would be better if they were made in the US however.

A bit late to help you but or others

Make sure you get a "C" clip and not an "E" clip when shopping. Those small things can trick the eyes easily.  There are actually numerous  places that sell them, more industry uses than you would think of...   The subject came up about needing one in NC and this thread has useful advice http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_8_34/556910_C_clip_for_the_dust_cover_rod_in_CLT_.html

If you go the hardware store option, go to a local/small/real store and not a big box if you don't want to get ripped off. Plus you can take the rod in and check for fit to be sure. If you don't have luck on that option, remember Harbor Freight sells fasteners of all types in kits of the various sizes.   Automotive part places will have them in smaller packs.

If you post in your hometown forum, a fellow ARFcommer would probably have hooked you with one as a pay it forward kinda thing.   Someone here did the very thing. A lot of good folks helping others.

Which everyone  should remember to  start adding all these little cheap parts on to other orders or picking a few small pieces up at gun shows. One by one   they will slowly grow to build your decent spare parts kit for emergencies.  You eventually even have a full  BCG in there. Ether in individual pieces or assembled,  and even then a few more parts for the complete one just in case.... Which  growing parts  lead to the justification of new lower receiver. Which means you now are low on spare parts . Starting a never ending cycle symptom behavior of the EBR disorder.  Which that complete lower know needs an upper and look  stripped blems are on sale...... Most people don't build their spare pats  up by buying complete lower part kits which is  cheaper. Instead  a little here and a little there seems like it costs less.

Besides as all have or will  learned a 25ยข part or a $3.00 pin or the detent and spring being a PIA can end a day at the range. Certain parts you will just  have to accept keeping a stock of  them as expendables. Everyone has their one nemesis part on the AR.

Glad it worked out for you
