Has anyone experienced bad accuracy out of a DD 18" STW profile barrel? I am a huge fan of DD barrels and have 4 of them that are accurate as can be. However, the last one I purchased won't even shoot an 1.5 MOA at 100yds. I have tried several types of ammo with no success. I do reload but do not wish to have to reload for this rifle (I shoot way too much and only have a single stage press). So my question is... Is it common to get a bad DD barrel every now and then? If so what is their policy on returns/exchanges for another one? If it is common to get one this bad every now and again... I guess my time has come since I already own 5 of them.

I don't have any experience with their barrels, but if you bought it as just a barrel, there are other factors involved in the accuracy, such as how it was installed. For any serious resolution, you should talk directly to Daniel Defense.

My first DD barrel was a lightweight 11.5" and it completely outshoot the heavy 12.5-16" Blackhole barrels I had, so I've always been fond of them.  If you are getting better results with your other DD's, the I would disassemble the upper and reassemble it and possibly swap optics to see if anything changes.  I went with a DPMS M12 barrel for my 18" Rifle gas build, it is known accurate and very affortable, the other option I would consider is the AR Performance, but they are difficult to find instock.
