After a long wait, I thought I FINALLY had my dream build ready to go--only to find my upper would NOT match mu lower; also, my three other uppers wouldn't fit it either....So I called the manufacturer, sent it back, and they said it had to be my uppers(Del-Ton, Colt, Armalite); apparently they are all out of spec . So they sent me a matching upper for my lower. So now I am in the what the heck mode--Since I am popping my varmint upper on a different lower, I am leaning towards something in the 18" area, 1/7 or 8 twist. My big question is--does a piston work with a standard upper? Do standard barrels work? and do does any body offer a barrel/bolt combo? Sorry, a 32-year DGI user here ...Thanks for the help in advance.
