So I have a problem with installing my A2 FH on my barrel.  If I remember correctly that the closed section goes on the bottom and doesn't want to go.  I feel if I keep tightening I will brake something.  Does it take a lot of force to crush the crush washer?  Also pics always help.

You could either sand the washer down enough to get it to where you need it.  Or get a peel washer.

I was thinking of a peal washer after I thought about it also.  I have A1 that I can put on also.

A crush washer will continue to "crush" all the way around 420 degrees.  It just takes a little elbow grease.

eta: What I mean is that once it is as tight as you can get it by hand, put a wrench on it and tighten it to time. It will go 420 degrees before you've crushed it too much to continue.

OP: Do you have the barrel in a vice?
