Hello everyone, I am very new to the AR platform but i'm learning more and more daily, I just had a question regarding putting a 300 Black out barrel on a stripped upper receiver.

what my question is, will a Yankee Hill freefloat barrel nut, handguard, and lo profile gas block fit correctly on a 300 barrel

as a side note thank you all for dealing with a noob!

it depends on if the Gas block is the same diameter of the barrel - I know on my HBAR the diameter was thicker then an M4 Barrel.

so the real question for me is trying to find out if the barrel diameter can accommodate the gas block?

so I did some digging of my own and found that the CMMG black out barrel is a direct replacement for the AR-15 and M4, and it does in fact have a carbine length gas slot meant to accommodate a normal gas block

You can also measure the barrel to see what the outside diameter is. (Measure the area where you would set the gas black) Do you have calipers/micrometer?
