| I have noticed that when I pull back to charge the round in a mag the bolt will not go into battery without me jarring the butt-stock. Any suggestions or anyone else have this issue? |

Have you tried the forward assist? Also: IN, this should be good. this WILL be good. that said, CLEAN you chamber to insure proper bolt lock, and insure you are NOT usigna carbine lenght spring in a RIFLE receiver extension. Are you loading your mags to full capacity, or capacity+1? also, it's not a problem "charging" the round, i beleive (i could be wrong) that this is a failure to return to battery. |

youre sling-shotting the charging handle right? as in pulling it all the way back and then just letting go and not riding it forward slowly No, I'm just pulling the CH back and I keep my hand on it but the bolt does not ride down to charge the chamber. It basically just catches and does not return. |

Don't know why it will be good?! The chamber is clean; I'll have to check on spring length, I ordered from PSA and didn't really pay attention to that. As far as mag capacity goes, they are loaded to capacity only. Forgive my ignorance of terms....still learning!! I appreciate the help. |

DO NOT ride the CH with your hand on it on the way forward....Pull it back and let it slam home! The BCG and CH should slam home together as a unit. Also, make sure your magazine is seated all the way if your BCG is getting caught on the bolt catch. If you are using 30rd magazines try downloading them to 28rds and make absolutely sure they are properly seated by using the push/pull method. |

In the past when I said I kept my hand on it, I wasn't keeping it on the CH in a restrictive way (I wasn't holding it back or providing resistance) but I still didn't feel it trying to return to the chamber. That is what I was worried about. Thanks for the info Tolly |

I appreciate the help. it will be good, because the argument "do civilian needs forward assist" has been done 2.4 million times |
