What would you do? I don't need 2 rifles and my current ar15 has about 5,000 rounds through it and it is made by Bravo Co. I want to push this weapon to the limit but it also is my go to rifle for a home invasion situation. Any suggestions or advice any body willing to give related to maintainence (bolt/barrel swap at a certain round count)? My barrel is hammer forged as well if that helps. Anybody have a Bravo Co. upper/rifle that they have ran past the 15,000 round mark with hard use or rough firing schedule that is still running today on the same parts? I know about Filthy 14 but I want to hear from more Bravo Co. owners out there with hard use experience.
....also forgot to mention. I either shoot this one for a while or get another upper to have for H/D. Since it is Bravo I should be ok with just the one upper but chime in.

Yes I do clean the rifle every shoot. I shoot around 500 rounds per session. I clean the barrel every couple thousand. I do not have a throat erosion gauge but look down the barrel I see very minor scaling and the beginning of the lands and grooves. When I shoot I run drill after drill after drill and confirm zero at 200 meters checking accuracy once in a while. I don't know what I am training for but it sure is fun. I want to do some carbine courses soon. Also thinking of becoming a police officer.

I'd guess your rifle has many more rounds to go before accuracy begins to suffer, esp if the bore is chrome-lined.  If you are really concerned, replacing the barrel is a half-hour job using simple hand tools.  The ne plus ultra of long-lasting barrels are those with CMV steel and melonite treatment for surface hardening. - CW

Ya mine is a Bravo Co. BFH which is hammer forged and I believe FN makes the barrel but correct me if I am wrong. Looking down the bore, the lands and grooves still look the same as the day I first got it which was brand new then. Just a little scaly at the throat which would be a small amount of erosion which I am pretty sure is normal.
