So I am piecing together my AR as I get parts. I just put my ejection cover door on my stripped receiver. It take a bit of pressure and then snaps closed but opens easily. Is this normal? Does it just need breaking in?

Yes it'll get better. Takes a little bit for everything to smooth out.

Same thing with the charging handle I assume?

Yea that's how it's supposed to work bro. The bolt carrier opens itwhen you charge the weapon or send the bolt home or fire and you snap it closed when in dusty/rainy environments. What's going on with the charging handle? Just make sure you lube all parts that are metal on metal, all friction areas and moving metal parts.

Very normal, also might try cleaning up the dust cover. Sometimes I get them and they are very dirty. Once in a while you will see some that just don't want to work together. The specs will be a little off. If after a while it does not get better swap it out if you want. In reality you don't really need a dust cover unless you are operating in a very dirty environment.
