I'm just about to start building my first AR-10. And I'm confused on some things dealing with the buffer and buttstock. If I have a 24 inch barrel do I need a rifle length buffer system? If I need a rifle length buffer system would I only be able to get a buttstock that is rifle length as well?
Thanks

No you dont need a rifle bufer system.
I'd use the Vltor A5 system (buffer tube and buffer).
Then you can use any collapsing stock you want.

Personally I'd never use a carbine stock on a rifle with a 24" tube. WAY front heavy.

You can use a carbine extension, But why would you with a 24" barrel?
