So now I am getting excited, tell me if I am forgetting anything because this is my first AR build.
Rainier Arms Mil-spec M4 upper Ballistic Advantage 5.45 16" government mid length barrel Ballistic Advantage 5.45 Bolt Aim Surplus NiB BCG Ballistic Advantage Melonite gas tube Ballistic Advantage Lo-pro gas block Spikes Tactical CH Spikes Tactical A2 flash hider Rainier Arms USGI Barrel nut I will be ordering the free float handguard and sights later. Just want to make sure I got everything. I got vise block and barrel nut wrench coming too. How important is checking headspace on a matching bolt and barrel? Some people say you need to and some say its not super important. Can I do it for free at home? |

Ballistic Advantage is pretty respected for 5.45 stuff, as far as I can tell.
As far as the headspace checking goes, it's never a bad idea, and a lot of times in the hometown forums you can find someone relatively local who will lend your their gauges, if you pay shipping both ways. Good luck finding some 5.45 ones in that manner, though. You're missing the obvious lower and LPK, buffer/tube assembly, and upper parts kit (if upper is stripped), but you probably just forgot to list it. |
