I just got my Spikes battle trigger in the mail. Do I want to go ahead and polish the trigger?

If this is the NiB battle trigger, then no.  Put a small amount of lube on the contact surfaces and dry fire it about 100 times.

Yes it is coated in Nickel Boron. Any recommendation on a lube. All i currently have is a generic lube. I was planning on using Frog on the lower parts.
Thanks for the help

Personally I like to use CLP on the trigger parts and get a couple hundred rounds through them.  I then put a little grease on them.  I have a couple of the small grease cups from Geissele triggers. You could continue to just use CLP though.

That raises a good question, will gun lube on the trigger make the trigger pull much smoother?  I just installed (on my first AR) the LPK with whatever bit of grease/whatever it came with.

gun lube or grease will decrease friction thus making the pull "smoother" within reason....but dry firing or just general using the trigger (shooting the rifle) will break it in and has far better results.
