I bought a used full auto bolt carrier at a gun show unknown make. I have not used it, and wanted to replace the bolt (the existing bolt seemed kind of loose). I am not able to install a new bolt into the bolt carrier. I tried 2 or 3 with no luck. Anyone have any thoughts  on this?

The new gas rings are likely the cause.

You can either lube them up and smack it home, or try to take them off and see if it fits to narrow down the possibility.

The bolts I tried installed no problem in other bolt carriers. I guess I will try without the gas rings and see what happens.

dude buy from a reputable manufacturer - especially the most important part (besides the barrel) of the rifle

BCM and Spikes make EXCELLENT parts and have great customer service

AIM also has EXCELLENT customer service / bcgs
most likely the new gas rings are tight and need lubed up

I agree I should have bought from a reputable dealer. I bought it when BCG couldn't be found.

Cut your losses and throw it in the garbage.  You don't want to bet your life on that carrier.

The "loose" fit is just from worn gas rings, they get that way after a while.  New rings would likely fix the looseness.
