Finally got to take my builds to the range and put a couple hundred rounds through each, just a couple of impressions.  Quick pic from my previous build post, upper is my son's, lower is mine.

First, both rifles have PSA LPK but one trigger was nice and crisp and the other had lots of creep and felt real gritty.  After a couple hundred rounds they both feel pretty good.  I had a few hiccups at first, lower one in below photo would fire, strip and load the next round but the trigger wouldn't reset.  If I pulled the charging handle it would eject the unfired round, load a new one and the trigger would work for that shot but it would do the same thing again.  It seemed to work itself out after I did that a dozen times or so and ran over 100 fine after that.  Anyone have any ideas what might have caused that?

We also noted sometimes with my son's that if the bolt was locked back and you used the bolt catch to try to load a round it would hang up like the buffer spring didn't have enough force.  If you use the charging handle it seems to work every time.  It ran fine and didn't fail to load while shooting.  Might just pick up a new spring and replace it, could this just be a weak spring or something I'm missing?

I like these DD LW barrels, as you can see below the accuracy was pretty good.  I'd planned to shoot some supported to really check the accuracy but the setup at the range was at an awkward height so we just shot standing the whole time.  The upper group is mine and lower is my son, both 10 rounds at 60 feet (indoor range and that's as long as it'd go) standing unsupported with iron sites shooting 55gr Federal bulk pack ammo.

Appreciate all the info on this site and look forward to building the other 3 lowers I have.

Any reason the rear sight isn't mounted all the way to the rear..?

Yeah, the Aero uppers have a flag laser engraved at the end of the rail so I moved the sights up while I was taking pics when I finished getting them put together.  It has been corrected.

Thanks,

They're Juggernaut Tactical billet 80% lowers I got from Desert Warrior Products.  Only lowers I've built but everything went together great when I assembled them.
