I have a 16" carbine upper with the fixed front sight/gas block. What is involved in removing this and changing it out to a either a railed or low profile block?

The front sight is pinned on. The pins are tapered, meaning one end is larger diameter than the other. Find the small end of the pins, and drive them out in the direction of the larger end.
Most low-pro blocks are clamp on or set screw type, so it's not terribly difficult at all. |
