Hi Guys,

I've got an LMT SPM-16 that I'd like to install a Troy Alpha rail (7.2") on.

I plan to keep the factory FSB and gas block (measurements show it should fit).

My question is regarding install - the instructions don't really tell the whole story:

- It is my understanding that this rail works with the factory barrel nut?

- All I need is a punch to remove the FSB and slide the rail on? No armorer's tool for the flash hider or a vise block?

Your going to have to take it all off. The flash hider has to be removed to get the fsb off.

Yes, uses factory barrel nut, but delta ring, snap ring and spring has to come off. Some have cut them off with a dremal without removing barrel nut. The FSB will not slide over flash hider so it will have to come off.
