Just finished milling my aluminum 80% lower and feeling proud of my work. Moving on to applying Aluma Hyde I wanted to protect small holes from getting gunked up, so I inserted a toothpick in bolt catch roll pin area as well as front takedown spring hole. During spraying the front takedown toothpick broke off flush with lower. Not enough to grab and pull out. There has got to be a way to get this piece out. Amazing how I can come this far and bone it up....   Ideas?

Try pushing a fine needle into the toothpick and pulling it out.  If not then usa a smaller drill bit BY HAND to drill out the wood without enlarging the holes.

Try putting the lower in a oven set to 150-200 degrees. If there is any moisture in the toothpick, it will shrink. The lower will expand. Should just fall out at that point.
Another trick would be, once you have the small hole as per the other suggestions, screw in a small self tapping screw which will give you something to pull on.

If all else fails wood is flammable.

There's someone w/ steady hands.  I'd just have a 2nd toothpick glued to my lower.

Needle, red hot, burn the toothpick bit by bit until it falls out.

I'd go with the needle first.

If the needle won't pull it out, you could put cuts in the needle with a file, like bards, for grip.
