Brand new here, just decided to build a couple ARs with my wife, his and hers if you will. Looking forward to bugging all of you with my questions as they progress.

Just yesterday I ordered Anderson lowers for $50/ea from PSA (I know about their shady advertising on here, but I'm willing to move beyond that), as well as a basic LPK  ($30 from PSA) and an enhanced LPK with stock/tube/spring from PSA ($80).

Looking to do this on the cheap, so I'm going to be in the market for some cheap uppers (complete) when funds permit. Wife wants a blue furniture set, I'm sticking to traditional black.

Didn't like ARs much until joining the Army, now I'm a firm believer, plus I like that they're like Lego sets for grown ups.

Now all I need is for the parts to get here for me to begin this journey.

Thanks for the tip. I was familiar with all but the overall length. What would be the minimum barrel length reqd with mil spec tube/collapsible stock?

I'm no expert on California new laws although I'm native born there along time ago lol. when gun laws were allot less full of baloney.

the answer is most probably going to be the BATF standard, 16", no less unless you pin and weld a muzzle device on the BBL.

Enjoy your build.
