| I built my AR pistol using a Core 15 lpk(all that was available at the time), and then I added the Mega Arms tactical trigger during that last little window of time they were available. Although it's not the only AR I own, it was the first one I have built, so I am admittedly no expert, thus the advice question. I like the functionality of it, but it seems to take longer with this setup for the trigger to reset. I don't want to just keep throwing money at it to have a high speed shooting pistol, but that's sort of the outcome I was hoping for. If I did replace my current trigger with the Timney Skeleton Match trigger, would it make the pistol have a really noticeable faster reset? And yes, I am asking about the skeletonized trigger because I really like the aerated looks they add to this particular pistol, so nobody has to point that out. I just found a deal on the Timney and I wondered what the gain would be. Thanks for the help ahead of time. |

I don't compete, nor will I ever wish to. I just didn't get the outcome I was hoping for when I built it and hoped to remedy it without losing the skeletonized look. As you already know, different strokes for different folks. I'm sure that is why there are so many different varieties available. Thanks for your opinion, though. |

Geissele's 3 gun is extremely fast reset and not designed for precision shooting. Built for speed if that is what you are looking for. |

I have a timney skeletonized and would like a mega im me if you would like to work out a deal +1 This is why build it yourself rocks. I think you may have misunderstood my first post. I never said I was giving up on the Mega trigger. I just wanted an opinion about the Timney skeletonized trigger. I have no intentions of selling the Mega. I still have the next two consecutively numbered Umbrella lowers boxed and waiting to build. I am just trying to research some options. |

I just wanted an opinion about the Timney skeletonized trigger. So do I. Can get a deal on one locally. I hope you have better luck finding out about the Timney than I did. Of course, I did, however, get opinions on triggers that only cost 2-3 times more. I thought I was specific enough with my original post. Maybe I'll contact Timney. Happy Turkey Day. |
| I don't have any experience with Mega Arms, but about four years ago I went exclusively to Timney 3lb triggers and never looked back! The skeleton version was the first I tried and really liked the look. Since I was changing quite a few over, the rest were the standard trigger because of cost. Still keep a few spares for when my grandkids get something new. Performance on all have been great - consistent 3lb trigger pull and fast trigger reset. It even works great in our S&W 15-22 rifles. |

Ran 230rds with the 4lb Timney. Honestly I saw little difference. Certainly not worth a $150 difference that I paid. Sure it is a little faster rapid fire, but my AR's are not for precision. I'll keep it on this AR but my others are fine with standard triggers. |
