I am assembling an upper for a 9mm build. I am using a standard CMMG upper. I tried to install an old charging handle I had laying around (CH#1). It will drop down into the top of the upper, but it will not slide forward. I then tried a CMMG 22LR charging handle (CH#2) and it worked fine.
I then tried the old charging handle (CH#1) in a different upper and it worked, so there is something about this upper and charging handle (CH#1) that they don't fit. 
Anyone had similar issues? I am reluctant to order a new charging handle if it wont work either...... Thanks for any inputs. |
| I had the same trouble with a upper kit from Wilson. It would drop in but not slide in the upper receiver. My upper and lower set is from S.W.A.T. I had to send the kit back to them. I called the S.W.A.T. company and they sent me their kit and the charging handle worked. |
