Alright I need someone to make up my mind. I just got a seekins sp223 lower. Can't decide how to build it as I plan to build all of the following in the near future. So you guys/Gals tell me
300 blackout 6.8 SPC 6.5 Grendal 50 Beo. Readyyyy GO!.... |

My next upper will probably a 6.5 Grendel or a 6mm round based off the Grendel case. 300 Blackout is boring to me. I might get one if I was going to get a can for it. I like 6.8spc but I have a proper 270 so 6.8 is pointless in my collection. I'd get a 458 SOCOM long before I'd get a Beowolf. This is my opinion. Your opinion may vary. |

If you go Beowulf I'd like to know where you find the barrel. As much as it makes the price ridiculous it's almost not worth the hassle to piece it together. Between the cost and wait time for a barrel alone, I would probably just buy an AA complete upper and change out the hand guards and charge handle and call it a day lol |

Range guns until everything goes to hell in a hand basket...then i'll be ready for anything lol. I'm kind of on the same page as you with the blackout especially since I live in the great state of NJ so shooting with a can is not an option lol and I have a pretty solid .223 rig so I was leaning towards 1 of the other 3. I eventually want to build a shorter barreled 6.8 as a "fighting gun" can't go totally SBR though (thank you again NJ). Had an R25 but sold it and bought a savage bolty but I would like a longer range AR, hence the 6.5. And the beo would just be one of those Yea I have it to shoot once a year type guns unless I ever need to take out an engine block lol. However, I was sort of leaning towards that one first being as I see NJ banning any variant of the .50 shell at some point in the near future. Not real familiar with the 458 SOCOM Obviously you can use any lower for any build as long as it's within spec. but has seekins ever come out and said what the sp223 was designed for? Precision shooting or combat style? With the design of it I would think more combat style IE the mag well cuts for "quicker mag changes" Like I said I'm going to build the 6.5, 6.8, and beo at some point just trying to decide on which to throw on the seekins lower. Although you do have my curious about the 458 in place of the 50 now |

Whole lotta hassle either way. I'd much prefer a WC .458 kit but that's a pipe dream these days. |

I get what you're saying though. I'm thinking I'll use the seekins for a 6.8 SPC with a geissele SDC , then get a mega set with side charger, and a timney 3lb for my 6.5 grendal build, and maybe i'll just do a .50 upper to throw on my .223 lower when I feel like shooting it. |
