| Doea anyone make a slick sided upper that is in stock? Are there any issues without a forward assist or brass deflector? |
|
Bob Joes had this in stock today.
I think I bought the last one.
Check the in stock upper thread and midway. |
In stock is the hard part
https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=2940 Les Baer also sells a flat top upper without a forward assist. If you are looking to minimize weight, a 9mm upper drilled for a gas tube is the way to go. I've bought mine from ADCO Firearms, and had them drill the gas hole. AFAIK, there is no lighter upper receiver option. I haven't experienced any issues or missed the FA or brass deflector, but I'm not a lefty |

I just finished putting together my 9mm with a DPMS slick side upper and 5" Adco barrel. This has quickly become my favorite gun. Lightweight, well balanced and accurate. Very fun!!

| The DPMS Lo Pro slick side upper is also significantly thicker and heavier than a 9mm upper drilled for a gas port or a regular flat-top upper without a forward assist. I'm pretty sure it is an ounce or two heavier than a regular flat-top upper with a forward assist. |
