| I am doing a pistol build soon and I want to do an A2 look. I am looking for an A2 upper, and obviously an A2 front sight. My question is, how do you properly mount the A2 sight? I am guessing that a " run of the mill" Pistol barrel will not have the grooves for the A2 pins. Is that correct? Thanks. |

I was originally going to do the same, but found out drilling and pinning was a bigger task than I'd realized after buying the sight. Instead of sending it to ADCO (which I would have done had I continued in that direction), I ended up with the ARMS folding version which clamps on. I am VERY happy with it, and it will give more mounting options for the Aimpoint T1 I will be putting on top.
That said, there are also clamp on A2 sights available, though TBH I wouldn't be happy with one not drilled and pinned if I were building with a standard A2 sight. YMMV.

There is also a height difference between an "Standard" FSB and a "F height" FSB. Its my understanding is that if you were to SBR or build a carbine, the height difference might be a small problem.
