Decided last year that I needed an AR, and that I would DIY instead of buying one prebuilt. Didn't expect it to take 9 months, but here's my new baby.
Parts list: PSA blem lower (not that I can find any blemish) PSA lower parts kit ALG ACT trigger Blackhawk pistol grip Magpul MOE rifle stock Red Barn upper PSA full-auto BCG BCM ambi charging handle Bison Armory 16" stainless barrel; mid-length gas, .223 Wylde chamber, 1:7 twist YHM Lightweight rifle-length free-float forearm YHM forearm end cap ArmaLite A2 flash hider Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40 BDC scope It's far more accurate than I am, but I'm still getting used to the lack of heft and lack of recoil; I'm a better shot with my T53. Just need more practice. And a bipod. |
