Thank you for your help/ I am gonna use flip up iron sights for my rear and the A2 front sight. There are so many barrels and lengths and gas system lenghts I am overwhelmed.
I originally wanted to go mid-length but I dont remember why? I have everything else coming from PSA and just need to figure this barrels deal out! Thanks for your help. Anything else I may be missing? Thanks again. |

Thanks again. midlength can run a little cooler and have slightly less recoil impulse. the flip up will work fine with the A2 front if you have a question, it has been answered on this site. search around and read. welcome to the addiction |

OK Guys Hate to bug you all again. This is an order im getting ready to purchase, Its from Del-Ton. They were super helpful emailing me a complete list of items I would need. My upper build kit has the Delta ring assembly so wont order it twice. They do not have a gas tube roll pin. I can pick one up locally or my father in law should have one. I think all my Ducks are in a Row.

If they are selling you the sight and the taper pins separate you will need to drill the barrel for pinning the sight in the proper location. if you do not want to pay a gunsmith to do this then buy a barrel with the F sight already installed. YES, this emphatically! Do not buy the barrel without the front sight base already installed. I had a hard time understanding this when I built my first. The guys at Bravo Company set me straight. For the traditional FSB, each one is drilled and installed unique to each barrel. The pins are usually tapered (per mil-spec), but some manufacturers use straight pins. In both cases, there is a drilling jig that puts the pins precisely where they need to be. If using tapered pins, then a tapered bit, called a reamer, is used in the drill press. It is much easier to buy the barrel with the FSB already installed. If you don't, then you will need to send the barrel to someone like ADCO to have it installed, which costs additional time and money (unnecessarily). |
