So I have An SD3G trigger on my riffle.  Does anybody have any ideas for creating a little texture on the trigger?

Thanks

Skateboard tape, would probably a good way to start. That way if you hate it, you just take it off

Back in the early '70's- when I used to shoot pistol competitively, the thing used to be to add an aftermarket grooved trigger shoe.... I got so used to shooting them, that when I came back to shooting this year, and discovered them no longer in vogue, I really miss them!!
Think I may see if I can locate one that will work on my AR builds with the Geiselle triggers.

You could also try that rubberized tool dip to give the trigger a thin rubber coating that can easily be removed if you don't like it.

Ever seen the pedals in a race car? The brake and clutch pedals are skateboard tape-like surfaces so that your foot doesn't slip off of them. The gas pedal is kept smooth or has vertical grooves so that you get better feedback and can feather it more easily for better throttle control.

Your trigger is like the gas pedal. You can have smooth, or have one with vertical grooves, but adding griptape I think would be weird.
Although Geissele is coming out with that super Tricon trigger that has some kind of texture on it...

you could probably stipple it with one of those el-cheapo vibrating engravers.

or grip tape---but either may irritate the hell out of your finger after a hundred rounds or so..........

I wouldnt mind some horizontal lines across mine. Something similar to the lines on the front of a SIG's grip. 30 lines per inch I think.

Those skateboard like surfaces on pedals are basically just rubberized paint with sand thrown in. In reality, there is more to it than that, they mix it and sell it as one, and you can buy it some places, but in highschool we built a school climbing tower from W beam, 2 x 4 and plywood, and when we painted it we threw sand in the wet paint to replicate it and came out pretty close.

You could try a spray can of 3M Rubberized Undercoating; then tape up the trigger except for the side of the trigger the pad of your trigger finger rests against.

And sprinkle on sand if more texture is desired.
