I've wanted an AR since before all the craziness, but lack of funds didn't allow me to do so. After months of sitting on a complete Palmetto State Armory lower that I built myself, I have finally ordered the remaining complete upper assembly. I plan to use my AR for both hunting and target shooting, and had originally decided on the SS bull barrel, but I kept thinking about the heavy weight of it and opted for the regular SS barrel. The upper should be here Friday.

The upper is coming with the standard 2-piece hand guard. I know I want to switch it out, but I cant decide between a free float tube or the magpul handguard. I'm not intending on throwing a bunch of accessories on it, so I think a quad rail isn't really the direction I want to go in.

How aggravating would it be to install a free float tube? I assembled the lower myself so I feel like I might could do it; I just don't want to get in over my head.

It's done! Pretty happy with the decision to not get the bull barrel, but I love how the stainless looks.

Nice stick OP.
Congrats.
Is the hammer for fine tuning?

Haha, I was actually just having a little bit of trouble getting the pins back in, so I used the rubber handle to hit them back in.

Nice build! I'm sitting on my first build right now for the same reasons. Have a PSA lower that I've built from cmmg lower parts kit and a UTG pro buffer and stock. (really tight on money, hope it works for a lil bit). Waiting on a PSA stripped upper now and some parts to finish it. Can't believe I've waited this long to build these things. It's addictive. Already planning my next build for coyotes and I haven't even gotten this one done yet.

Yeah I'm hoping to get some coyotes and hogs with this one. Really anything within reason that steps out in front of it.
