| New build I'm starting have question about low profile gas block if installed without handguard cap will the gas tube be to far into the upper ,I will be putting a free float rail so the cap should not be necessary but want to make sure thanks |

the dia of the barrel directly behind the gas block will be larger than the part where the gas block mounts preventing the gas block from going to far back ,holding the gas tube in place it can not slide to far back. just watch the alignment of every thing so the bolt will function properly.
the end cap on the float tube is for looks only, some float tubes does not even have the end cap as an option. If you don't want one don't use one. I was nervous about putting together my first upper receiver un tell a Gun smith at a local shop showed me how I was worried about getting every thing set correctly but it is easy. |
