Aero upper and diamondhead free float. When I align the upper to get the rails on the upper "flat" with the rail the alignment is off side to side as shown in the pic. How far off is acceptable? Assuming the optics do not bridge between the two that should be fine but what about aligning BUIS? |
| So, the top of the rails are parallel? You could try loosening the barrel nut just to see if it changes the alignment. Maybe it's not concentric. That's where I would start. Seems the only other issues could be the hole in the handguard itself not being concentric to the outside, or possibly the upper threads being off as well... |

They must have had a machine misaligned... I got one with the exact same issue. The anti-rotational tabs are not the issue, the bore of the handguard is misaligned. Email diamondhead and they'll ship out a new one with a return slip for the old one. I was going to say that looks like it was bored/tapped off center. get yourself an RMA# |
