This is an undrilled FSB. You line it up with you barrel and drill out the holes and barrel at the same time yourself. Or you can send it off and have someone else do the drilling.

You have to buy a ream and and access to a drill press. Then, you have to drill through the barrel and gas block. After taper the hole with the reamer. Easy as pie....good luck. I have done it before, but not something I enjoy to do. I would return it to bcm, buy a low pro gas block, and cover with a free float.

Since you are asking these questions, I am concluding you do not have the skills or knowledge to do this properly.

Send it to ADCO.

From the link above:

I have a drill press with a sliding vice and aluminum barrel blocks.
But I think you could use a standard vice.  The sliding vice just makes positioning easier.

I got all the bits and cutting fluid from Midway.
You need a #31 drill and a 2/0 taper reamer.
I bought one drill bit for each hole, just to be sure.  (I never used the second bit).
Because I had a melonite barrel, I also bought a 1/8" end mill.

After I got everyting set up, I drilled into the FSB until it just touched the barrel.
I removed the drill bit and installed the end mill, and then ran it down to "break the surface of the barrel".
Then I replaced the drill bit and finished drilling through the barrel and the other side of the FSB.
Using the end mill made a flat spot to prevent the drill bit from walking along the curve of the barrel.

I tapped the gas port access hole on the bottom of the FSB and used a set screw to help hold the FSB to the barrel (used the Rainier gas block tool to dimple the barrel).  The setscrew prevented the FSB from rotating while drilling, it also helped align the gas hole and the sight itself.  I don't know the size of the set screw off  top of my head.
I used a really slow speed, I believe something like 900 rpm (memory sketchy), and lots of cutting fluid.

Here are a couple of archive threads I used:

Or if you want a front sight, and don't need it to be exactly like that, you can put a railed gas block on it, and put on a rail mount front sight... like this'um....

Awesome, it's really not that bad. I got the ream from midway and some taper pins. I drew a line with a marker on the barrel and front sight to make sure it was still in the same spot. A drill press will make your life so much easier. The line came off with a blue pen. Blue pens are very handy to have. The do wonders on parkarized parts. Good luck OP

J:  Unless you are really stuck on having a GI fixed front sight, I recommend you save yourself the trouble and switch to a YHM clamp on gas block with a flip up front sight.  There is a similar folding model, from a vendor whose name I can't recall, that even has the triangular look to it. - CW
