| looking for a basic tube like model 1 sells, but in 13"+ that's not going to break the bank. anyone have an idea if one for under $100? |
|
Just work your way back and the prices go down, but you can use the stores as places of interest to buy from.

Shitloads available at 12+", but 13" is a killer, at least in aluminum. If you could use carbon fiber, this may work for you.

I run Clark Custom CF tubes.
Give them a call. They may cut one to 13" for you http://www.clarkcustomguns.com/clk750.htm |
| Try these, great quality, IIRC still made in USA...http://www.hoguestore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_679_766&products_id=6416 |

Clark tubes are not permanent by any means. If you use Devcon 2ton epoxy as suggested, a trip into your oven at 220 degrees for a few minutes will soften the epoxy. Once apart, you let it cool and clean off residue with laquer thinner. Then you can strart over. Good to know. |
