Hey guys this will be my build thread to showcase my build and also get some answers and opinions.
I love building things and that feeling of accomplishment when you're done is what drives me. I was trying to think of something to do this summer and I figured since I love guns and I love building things then an AR would be a good first time thing. My build isn't a high-end build but I do like to do my research and make sure I get some decent to good quality parts. I've been researching everyday for probably about a month and sourcing parts in that time as well. Most of my parts are in my possession or are currently being shipped. Just to state it in case someone asks. My main goal for this rifle is mainly just to shoot at the range and I guess if it comes to it home defense as well. The list: Spikes Tactical lower Aero Precision upper CMMG LPK Daniel Defense barrel Battlecomp 1.5 Noveske NSR Spikes tactical buffer tube kit Magpul ACS Stock I'm going to start off with my questions. The lower and upper don't perfectly line up and there's a slight wobble between the two receivers. The first picture shows the misalignment. The second picture is a little bit harder to tell but there's a slight gap between the two receivers. I took them with my iphone which only has such good quality. Other than what I stated above every part looks like a quality piece. The Aero upper does have what I believe is a blemish when I didn't buy a "blemished" upper but it's not a big deal to me I guess. I'm still really excited to get the rest of my parts in and go to the range. I wanted to get your guys opinions as well as a picture request. My barrel is going to be 16" after the FH is pinned and welded and my handguard is an 11" Noveske NSR. I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered but now I feel like thats super short. Does anyone have a picture of their rifle with that setup can can you post it? Might have to sell it and get a longer one. That's all for now.
