This is my first AR build . I have read all the previous post regarding head space issues . Tell me if im right on what im thinking. If i buy the barrel and the bcg  from the same company should i be ok when it comes to proper head space?  The barrel and BCG i was thinking about was from state of the art arm.

If you buy any reputable barrel and BCG you should be fine. They dont need to be the same brand. It will only fail to headpsace if there is something wrong with either, in which case youd need to replace it.

The only gun I've ever had an issue with was the last one I built.  I put a RRA chrome lined light weight 16" barrel and chromed RRA bolt/carrier with it.

I kept having problems with my favorite loads (that shoot fine in 5 or 6 other AR15's I've shot them in) that use a 55 grain fmj bullet with 21 grains of IMR4198 - not a hot load at all.  It was occasionally blowing primers out of the brass, flattening the primers that didn't blow out, etc.

The bolt would close on the go ga., but man it was tight.  I checked other rifles I have and took the next to the loosest bolt (in another rifle) out and swapped bolts in that rifle and since then have no issues in either rifle.

Just for info, the reason I said "next to the loosest" is because I have one rifle that will close on a no go ga. (but not on the field ga.) but it is one of the most accurate rifles I have, maybe the most accurate, so I'm not messing with it.  Eats everything, shoots super groups.

Good luck with yours.  Most of the time everything works out.  Sometimes not.  Its good to have a set of headspace ga. just in case you do have an issue you can get your own answer pretty quick (or help out a buddy if they have problems).
