Hello everybody, just thought I would use this awesome forum as a hub to track my progress, as well as show my progress to others, and get advice as needed on some things. I've lurked the forum, and gained a much more vast array of knowledge from here than I thought I would. Coming from the car world, this newer hobby of mine is certainly awesome. I'm not a noobie to firearms, but building is different than just buying and shooting. Anyway, since this thread is worthless without pictures, and even though I'm no professional photographer, here goes nothin.
So far, I have completed my lower to my temporary satisfaction. The parts include: Spike's SL15 Lower (Forged) CMMG LPK Stark SE-1 Grip with Surefire 123A battery storage Bravo Company Milspec reciever extension tube Magpul ACS-L Stock. Noveske Endplate with QD mounting point (And a GG&G QD Swivel. not that exciting, but its a part of the build) http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n532/mikeheider3/IMG_9187_zps6522c3ab.jpg Coming in the mail, I have an ISfifteen stripped upper. After that, a lot comes down to availability with the barrel's and BCG's. I don't feel the need for a nickel boron coated, but if one pops up for a killer price, I'll probably go with it. Barrel, I'd like a 16" with a mid-length gas system. Its my first build, and so far no hiccups *fingers crossed*. I feel I will gain more knowledge from peer's here who have forgotten more than I'll ever know, to better spend my money, and get the most out of this project. :) |
| Hahahaha, I've heard the ears are fragile. Luckily, im using the grip because I just find it comfortable. I ordered it even before i found out about the ears breaking. I was pretty careful during assembly to not break one. :). Each to their own i guess, haha. I like the storage option in the grip, verses the stock. Thanks for the compliments though :) |
