Back in November I started doing research and talking with buddies who had been trying to get me into the AR shooting fun. Well I started with just reading and research to learn as much as I could before I just started throwing out money. Then a buddy turned me onto this site, and an addiction has started. After a craze of oos parts and price gouging, I started to worry I may not ever build this dang thing. Slowly over the past 6 or 7months I gathered alot of info and reviews from this site. And with the assistance of the In-stock threads I was able to aquire some parts, I was real picky on what parts I would pay premium for, All in all I got about $1200 into my build which I think I did really good.......

Seekins Precision Lower, trigger guard, enhanced bolt catch, and mag release
AeroPrecision stripped upper
upper parts and lower parts kits from Palmetto State Armory, CMMG Trigger
Fortis Rev Rail 14" Realistically 14.5"
UCWRG FDE grip
RCA BCG
Daniel Defense 16" chf cl hpt mpi midlength barrel
vltor gas block and tube
Magpul FDE STR stock and BUS
Spikes st-t2 buffer
BCM Mod3 Large latch ch
currently running a A2 Flash Hider, which Ill be ordering  Rainier Arms XTC comp soon.
Havent decided what to run for optics yet, but been eyeballing a few different ones.
Also a BAD selector in FDE and a set of FDE KNS ST antirotating pins will be added, also found a few fde mags and have them coming.

The rifle is fully assembled and Ill upload pics to photbucket so I can post some, but for now just imagine a nice build...sorry for the Tease....

No opinions ? Wow this is a pretty opinionated forum. How about optics? What should or shouldn't I be looking at....I like the reddot sites myself, not a big scope person for my ar.

I like lightweight and Iron sights myself....I always put whatever is the new special red dot on my main gun and always take it off......just my opinion though.

I'm saving up for an ACOG for my M4 variant AR; no batteries required is one of my main reasonings. And, if fiber optic tube causes red dot to be too bright during the day I'll use some tap to cover as much fiber optic tube as necessary. The tritium's lifespan is rated at 15 years. Also, see ACOG's with look like miniature aim points on top, and others with iron sights attached to top of scope in place of miniature aimpoint.

Nice sharp, clean build.
All that rail real estate does look kinda bare...
I've got a 2.5x scope for my A2 but I've been eyeing the red dots and holos.

I would recommend some sort of Aimpoint. Micro or Comp Series. The best entry level Aimpoint will probably be the PRO. If you're interested in the EOTech's I would only recommend the XPS series.

This is a sweet looking stick, good work man. How do you like the UCWRG grip?

Thanks everyone, yes there's a lot of railestate but I'm a tall guy with a long reach. Not big on a lot of tacticool stuff, so ill KISS and just put my light and a optic on there and go. My fde magpul hand stop came in yesyerday and now that's on. The ucwrg grip is great I love the feel and less angle.

I've been curious about the Fortis hand guards... Any issues with your hand or fingers contacting the gas tube?

Not as of yet, I've only shot 10 rds to see if she was operable. I plan to run it at a shoot out on the 27th if I make it, crappy work schedules...I have put a hand stop on and I do have fairly large fingers so I hope I don't run ito that.

Just ordered the vortex sparc to try it out while I whittle money away for a aimpoint or eotech. I also have a little boy on the way very soon gotsta prepare for that. Aug is coning quick.

Now I just need to sight it in.

Rifle runs great, functions perfect. Put a little over 300 rds thru it sat morn. Even the rds is on point. Shooting steel and hitting it at 200yds with a rds is pretty good for me. Dead on at 50 hitting exactly what I aim at with 2" groups.

Try extending your zero to point of aim at 100 yards rather than 50.  A 50 yard zero is going to put your 100 yard impact a little too high.
