I got bored last night and cleaned my bench off to start a new project. I thought it'd be fun to just dig through the parts boxes and grab the first thing that catches my eye and build an AR.
Well, this is what I came up with. Not sure where to go with it now. I borrowed an optic off another rifle just for the pic.
Parts List
-Armalite stripped upper
-Generic upper parts kit
-PSA semi auto BCG
-20" stainless barrel 1/8 (not sure of mfg. came off an Armalite rifle)
-Model 1 aluminum free float knurled tube
-Barnes Precision Machine forged lower
-BPM LPK
-ACE skeleton buttstock (full size)
I think it came out nice. Feels good and is not as nose heavy as I thought it'd be with the stainless barrel. I'd like to find a stainless flash hider or comp to match the barrel. All I had was the birdcage to put on for now. I'll probably just throw a bipod and decent optic on it and have me a decent bench rifle.
Input, suggestions, critique welcome.

Well, I have to admit that the lower was not just "laying" around. That I did have that on standby for the next build. However, everything else was takeoffs from other uppers and parts I have accumulated.

Lol, my present build started with a carbine spring and buffer.

I built a parts bin rifle last year. 16" LMT barrel, FN upper, PSA lower, DD Lite rail, etc. Came out very nice IMHO, and is now one of my favorite rifles.

I cant wait to get it out and shoot.
I'll probably just upgrade the handguard and put a different muzzle device on it eventually.
I've been staring at that barrel for over a year wanting to do something with it.
