If covered please link, I searched but no luck.
1. Is there such thing as a two piece free float in carbine lngth. Or is there a free float that can be installed without removing the fsb? I have no problem removing but if no need.
2. Finally, is a free float really that more accurate to warrant the 150. to 250. To replace A2 handguard. Thanks for the help.

Midwest Industries has a 2 piece drop carbine in free float. There are a few others out there but some require a new barrel nut which will require the removal of the FSB. As far as accuracy I dont think it makes that big of difference at ranges under 200 yards. I havent found any articles that have before and after results and I havent seen a difference in accuracy on the guns I have put free float hand guards on.

Thanks for the info. I checked out the Troy and MI. I like the extended carbine in fde. Both companies have what I want. Troy 239.00 and MI 195.00 I wish Troy posted weight.  The 45.00 dollar dif is no big deal, I am sure both are solid. I would just like the lightest of the two. Troy does offer the modular version too. It would work too. However no weight info. Proably pretty close if I had to guess maybe giving Troy the edge on the modular Delta over the Charlie. And the MI equal. Gotta make up my mind now.
