I just got a stripped upper/lower set of Anderson Machine receivers with LPK off GunBroker for $155.
I know they don't have the best rep on here but has anyone had any problems with the quality? Good deal? Yea or nay? |

We just did this again last week. Maybe you are for real but Anderson seems to use a low post count account to shill advertise. I suspect you may be very well aware of this. If you really wanna know about Anderson Google will help you find all you need to know. I so wish this kinda stuff would go away or Anderson would just pay the money to get an industry partner. I did read about them on here and M4 and a few others, that's why I asked. I had already put in the bid because it only had an hour left on it.
I paid for them today and the FFL biz has been handled so hopefully in a couple days I can start building. I know about their sleazy attempts at rep building but I haven't seen anything on a lack of quality except on a complete rifle review that had some assembly QC issues. I was just asking if anyone on here had any quality problems with the receivers and if I got a decent deal on an auction. This will be my second build, the first was from a J&T kit with PSA lower. (J&T was awsome by the way  )
This build will start with stripped receivers. The J&T comes with the upper assembled and test fired. The Medina show is in two weeks and the Berea after that. I hope to pick up some parts then. IF I got it wrong, sorry. But anybody with single digit posts and doesnt pay the $24 for team ought to have a pretty good idea how their thread is going to end when they admit to knowing andersons rep before they post. Not discriminating on your free membership or post count. Would never do that, starting an Anderson thread is what this is all about. By you getting a single "yea they are gtg" response gives them positive feedback and affirms them on a site they rob by using a shill advertising technique. Food for thought next time you wanna know about Anderson.

Sorry about the low post count and the lack of membership but I'm kind of new to this whole thing. I ordered my kit the day after the "election" and I would have joined then but they would not accept gmail for an email account.
The search on here for "anderson" brought up only 2 posts, both today. The search only goes back 30 days. The google search I did the other day must have brought up the earlier threads here and the review on M4. Having already won the auction and read how poorly the company presented themselves I was concerned that I had just thrown my money down a rat hole. With 8000 plus on here every day I was hoping someone would have had some experience with them. The only company I would promote so far is J&T because they were great to deal with. |

Well, I picked them up today and they look OK.
Both have the key-hole marking I've seen on an Armalite lower so here's hoping. I tried them on my Palmetto lower and J&T upper and the fit was good. The LPK that came with it was garbage and only worth a few spare parts. It was a sealed box marked SKU 24212. I have no idea who made this POS but they really have no business in the industry. The finish was lousy/chipping, missing/wrong parts, the pivot pin was too big to fit either upper or the new lower and the trigger pull sucked butt. Needless to say, I will be looking for another LPK. At $80 each for receivers I guess I came out well enough. |

This site is supposed to be a helpful resource for both the experienced and inexperienced builder. You flaming him accomplishes nothing. If you don't have a useful yes/no answer or some insight that is actually in regards to his question.. sit back and shut your trap and let someone with a real answer take the wheel. |
| I picked up an Anderson stripped lower from my LGS for my last build. I could not find any flaws. Palmetto State LPK went in with no problems. Hardly any movement between it and BCM upper when mated. Lots of haters in the above posts but the lower suits me just fine and was the only one in stock that I could find near where I live. |

I just finished a build with an Anderson and a Palmetto Lower Parts Kit. PSA had a deal that was a LPK with giseele SSA Trigger.
Everything went in no problem and it mater to both my Stag and DPMS uppers for function testing. Seemed like a good lower receiver for the $89 I paid. I called them to ask a question and the technical guy that answered was friendly and helpful. I'd buy another. They are available in my area. |
