I lurk this site looking, reading, this site has been an amazing help. I bought my first stripped AR lower back in September of 2012, I have other guns, but always wanted an AR. I have been acquiring little things here and there, all I knew was that I wanted to do it from scratch. Then when everything went full retard it was hard to get parts and what I could get seemed to double in price. At that point I thought I was never going to be able to get one done. But I stuck with it, and bought parts when I could. Some parts are used. Barrel, upper receiver, rail. But with perseverance I have finally finished it and shot it. Its amazing how much fun and happy it makes me feel to have one finally and not just drool over every one else's. Its not shiny new, but I love it.

I really like the look of the barrel and handguard together. What length for each? What length gas system?

Also, your sights will work much better is you put the front one as far out as possible.

I see nothing wrong with a few used parts as long as they were quality used parts in good condition and the weapon performs as she should. Your gun looks badass IMO. Specs?

Nice gun OP. Who cares if it's not shiney new? It won't be after you shoot it a few times anyways.

Nice rifle. You scored on getting that lower back then. As the others said, don't worry about a few used parts, you have a great looking gun.

Nice work.

Push your front sight all the way out to the end.  Will work better...

Thank you for that info I will move my front sight forward today. yes I would like to change the grip. I just got in that ejection port cover the other day. But its a spikes Tact lower. CCMG lower parts kit, the barrel is 14.5 inches 5.56 1/7 twist with an AAC blackout flash hider. the upper receiver and bolt carrier is by rifle gear. Now, I don't know how good rifle gear stuff is, but from what I have read here and there, people usually say you need a good quality bolt. So I have been looking for a spikes (im assuming spikes is good?) but everything is gone.  The rail is a Troy Alpha battle, the stock is a new magpul ACS, the sights are magpul, and the slant forward grip is a magpul AFG.     I cant wait to move my sight and go try it out again. Although I feel like a dumbass now having it wrong and showing a picture haha

It's better to feel dumb on the internet than in the real world.  This site has taught me so much I think I owe money.  I try to practice what I saw posted on here before, read twice as much as you post.  In my case it's more like 10x.  Anyway, enjoy your gun.

Pinned or SBR'd? I dont want to rain on your parade because its a nice looking rifle but it wouldnt be pleasant getting in trouble by big brother for an unknowing mistake.
