I've got just about all of the parts ordered (or in my hands) for my second build. Lower is no problem, but wondering what else I'm going to need for the upper (which I'm going to get assembled by my 'smith).
So far I've got: -stripped upper (VLTOR MUR) -barrel (DD 10.3 w/ FSB) -rail (DD MK18 FSP RIS II) -flash suppressor (KX3) -BCG (Young) -charging handle (Gasbuster) -buffer tube, etc (Phase 3 pistol) So what am I forgetting, other than optics? And on an entirely different subject: I'm going to build this as a pistol, but then go the trust/stamp route to turn it into an SBR. Is it necessary to engrave the lower to my "trust" or no? I'm a little cloudy on that. If there is a good Trust/NFA FAQ here on Arfcom, I'd really appreciate being pointed in that direction. Thanks!!! |

I'm assuming (and again, I'm very new to this) that the FSB installed on the DD 10.3 is the gas block. Am I wrong about that?
I purchased the rail from Bravo, so I'm assuming that it will indeed come with the matching barrel nut. It's scheduled for Friday delivery, so I'll wait and see on that. The DD 10.3 says it's carbine length, so I'm assuming that I just need to hunt down a carbine-length gas tube. Any recommendations? |
