I'm going to be starting my 2nd build soon and I've been looking at rail systems for it and I've narrowed it down to four. I was just looking to get peoples experience and opinions on each one.
Parallax Tactical PXT 11.5"
Fortis REV 12"
Seekins SAR 10"
Geissele MK1 10"

| I had many of the same handguards on the docket when choosing mine. I am doing a 14.5 build, so keep that in consideration. The sar was a bit too wide for me (diameter wise) because I'm not going to be running a suppressor that needs to goin to the handguard. The geissele was about 1.5-2" too short for my visual preferences, and the fortis was a true quad rail and I wanted something a bit different. Needless to say, went with the parallax hg. Super lightweight and excellent proportions with my barrel. Just waiting on it to come back from adco with its perma hider! |

I had the Rainer evo, VTAC Alpha, Fortis REV, and Knights URX 3.1 in mind. Went with the Fortis REV mainly for the bottom rail option and it was the first that came in stock. It's much more rigid than I anticipated and super light. No complaints at all and was very easy to install. I have it in the 12" version with a 14.5" barrel that's pinned to 16". If you're not going to use a fore grip of some sort panels and like a bare rail, it's not near as comfortable as a VTAC Alpha. I plan to put some NSR panels in the keyhole slots eventually
Here's a couple shots of mine. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-fNzko8qQfC0/UUfV3yllGaI/AAAAAAAAAXo/ooNNdG4bcpA/w640-h480-no/DSC02530.JPG https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-AF15Z2JUhtk/UXSbJQ56eVI/AAAAAAAAAbo/EOP0dj3BRNA/w702-h524-no/2013-04-21 |
