DO  the free float handguard barrel nuts have a larger inside diameter than a regular barrel nut? I am trying to use a bull barrel, which a regular barrel nut won't fit.

I think they're going to be the same, +/- normal variance in manufacturing.  My understanding is most nuts should fit most bull barrels, but if they're made a little on the tight side they may not fit without opening it up a little.  How far off is it ?

I'm confused. Are you asking about free float rails/ tubes for a bull barrel? Or which companies use a proprietary nut that can accommodate a bull barrel?

The barrel nut goes around the receiver.  The receiver goes around the barrel. How can it not fit?  I know the core 15 super up barrel nut will not work with Troy alpha rails.

i know when i had a polymer bushmaster carbon 15...(lower and upper was polymer) the barrel nut that was on the gun was oversized and would not fit a standard upper receiver...but other than that, im clueless of what he means.

wait..i think i understand him...he wants to know if the free float barrel nuts will fit over a bull barrel because a standard ar15 barrel nut will not...right?

Yes, that is what I am trying to find out. Because a regular barrel nut will not fit. The barrel measures about 1.050. If you try to open up a regular barrel nut, there would be no shoulder left inside the barrel nut.
