I am trying to figure out which model would be the best for precision work?  Mainly used for varmint hunting and longer range target shooting.  Should I get the SSA-E or which one?

The SSA-E is a great choice.  I also like the SD-E even better.

Just made the same decision - went with the -E.  Cant wait to shoot it next weekend.

you know the only difference between a SSA trigger and the SSA-E is the trigger spring. I wonder if you can order the trigger spring from them. It's just an SSA trigger with a lighter trigger spring is all.

I bought a couple of the G2S triggers, before they were offered to anyone but manufacturers, and I really enjoy them for an AR trigger. They cost quite a bit less than the SSA.

I have 75 rounds through my recently built SPR with SSA-E trigger system and I couldn't be happier.
This is my first non stock FCG group and if nothing else, it has taught me better trigger discipline.
While there are two stages to the SSA-E, they are both very light.

What a treat to shoot and I can't wait to get more rounds through it.
You will love it!

I run SSA's and SSA-E's.

Both work extremely well.

I have a Timney 3lb, SSA-E, and just this weekend bought a Hi-Speed National Match.

I would go with the Hi-Speed Match hands down for precision work. The pull is adjustable to your liking and has zero creep. The SSA-E is a nice trigger but is 3.5lbs and has the slightest bit of creep in it.
