Hey all,
Seems that there are a plethora of charging handles out there ranging from $25 to $99. For a noob, building my first AR (lower built, upper and BCG on order), what kind of charging handle will get the job done? Preferably for the least amount of $$. Any recommendations from the experts here?!? Thanks in advance. |

Your question was valid and I had similar questions when I did my first build waaaaaay back in Feb 2013. FYI....I paid $20 for a CH at a gun show to complete my first build but then upgraded later and have that CH as a spare. Let us know when you get your build done and maybe post some pictures. That first build is exciting, so is the 2nd and I'm stoked as I plan my 3rd. Good luck! |

BCM mod 3 or 4 I love these and take the off hand abuse. Great for sights or optics.
If you can't find one in EE look at www.windhamweaponry.com they usually have these in stock but they are around 25.00 so they can be had cheaper other places. But with windham you can pick up some spare parts at a great price while you are there. |

Here's a little something I put together this morning with parts I had on hand, all except for the LaRue mount. I was looking around a few weeks ago and saw that I had everything but the mount, so I ordered 2 LT-179s and an Aimpoint 3x magnifier in the LT flip mount. I got the 179s a few weeks ago. I got the shipping email for the magnifier and flip mount yesterday. Good times.
